ok...this is probably a rather newb question, but is 12 the highest energy you can get from a focus without a -regen?

yep, a normal wand with max focus gives +12 energy, a staff with energy mod gives +15 energy, a max focus with either +5 energy wand or hod sword gives 17, and the max you can get is that trapper stave which gives 18 energy while hp is like over 80%

So to sum it up, the best I can get (for a blood or SS necro) is +12 from focus, and a decent +5 mod or a constant +15 from a staff.

there is a no damage +5 EN wand for free outside Nolani Academy from the collector (3 char carvings)

aren't there also wand and foci that add additional mana somewhere along the lines of +15 with a -1 pip of mana regen? which would make the highest you could get from a foci 27

someone once told me they had sold a offhand which had EN+12 and the bonus was En+15... but he then said the penalty was En-5 making the overall energy from the offhand +22...

i myself dont believe this as i have never seen one like it but maybe it holds some truth... dont flame PLEASE

Are there similar abilities on the foci like wands as in...
+12 energy with +5 Energy while health is above 50%
+12 energy with or +5 Energy -20 Health, Armor or such
+12 energy with or even an addition +5 energy all the times?

I do know that without a negative regen pipm that +5 is the highest energy mod.

No. Wands don't even have +5 energy -20 health. Offhands only get +(10-15) Energy, Energy regeneration -1. Sometimes offhands will have Armor +5, Energy -5.
